GREAT TREAT AND IT'S LOW FAT
It seems that when two people discuss food the inevitable topic of fat rears its ugly head. It has invaded every aspect of eating for adults and even children.
Most of us are careful and tend to pay attention to fat content. That is - everyone except the people that consume 10 billion donuts a year (that is according to the Donut Book: The Whole Story in Words,Pictures and Outrageous Tales).
Well, let's be honest. We all need a treat sometime (some of us need them all of the time). Sometimes having a treat once a week is enough, for some it has to be once a day. WE ALL NEED TREATS.
I am going to share a recipe with you for a great treat. It has very little fat content (only egg yolks), it looks good and it tastes YUMMMM. This recipe has been in our family for years. Both young and old love it. In fact, some find it addictive.
Lebkuchen
6 eggs
2 cups of brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon
3 cups flour
Preheat oven to 350.
Spray or line a cookie sheet with parchment.
Beat eggs until frothy. Add brown sugar slowly. Add the cinnamon and slowly add the flour. Spread the batter in the pan and put in the oven. Test the cake with a toothpick to make sure it is done.
Mix 1 cup of frosting sugar with 1/8 cup water and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice.
Mix well to form a thick glaze. You might need more water, or more frosting sugar. Spread on the cake - 1/4 at a time and pour on sprinkles.
Now cut and enjoy.

MAKING BATH TIME FUN
I love making bath time as much fun as possible. I am always looking for fun things for the kids play with, because I just love watching how much fun they can have in a tub of water.
There also is the issue of bathing. Some children really don't like that part. Well, I found an adorable starfish scrubbie. It is sure to make the kids forget the scrubbing part of the bath. It is 3 dimensional and is made of 100% cotton.
They come in pink, blue and yellow and can be personalized with an applique of your choice. They make the perfect gift. Just email me at (www.linennstuff.miriam@gmail.com for design and paypal).
They cost $9. U.S. plus $3. shipping in the U.S. and Canada
(The scrubbies are made by http://www.etsy.com/shop/beegrl88.
The personal designs are done by us.)

THE ONE BOTTLE THAT CAN SOLVE TONS OF PROBLEMS - AND IT'S ALREADY IN YOUR HOME
Some how there always seems the need to purchase a bottle of "something" to solve a particular problem.
Well, I am going to let you in on a secret. There is one item that I've personally found to be a multi - tasker. The secret is SHAMPOO (any kind).
I have used it to hand wash delicate laundry and use it as stain treatment before putting laundry in the machine.
It is also great as a quick cleaner for the tub and sink.
You should try it on the chrome in your bathrooms. Rinse well, and get a great shine.
I use it to clean brushes and combs. Just think, shampoo cleans hair and doesn't it just follow through to the brushes?
Fix a stuck zipper with a dab of shampoo. It will get it moving again.
I've used it on stains on upholstery (just touch ups on fabric that is washable) and on rugs.
I never told anyone my secret. I thought I'd get funny looks. That is until I read a list of other uses that I must share with you.
To remove a bandage with stuck adhesive, let a few drops of shampoo soak through the adhesive part and the bandage should peel off easier.
Buff your shoes. Use a small amount on a clean cloth and rub into the area as you would shoe polish. Give it a buff.
Need to get extra grime off of your hands, without drying out your skin. Use some shampoo.
Use shampoo to lubricate squeeky hinges.
Loosen stuck nuts and bolts with a drop of shampoo. Let it seep in and it should loosen easily.
Enjoy the savings and all of that room in your cabinets.

PRETTY LINEN FOR A GIRL - ON A SHOE STRING BUDGET
Every girl should feel like a princess especially at bedtime. You don't have to use a pea under the mattress to make sure she's actually a princess (like in the fairy tale "The Princess and the Pea by Hans Christian Anderson http://childhoodreading.com/?p=5 ), you already know.
Here is a beautiful set of bed linen that is perfect for that special girl. It is 250 count percale. It contains 2 Duvet Covers, 2 Fitted Sheets and 2 Pillow Cases (Twin Size). It is Made in the US. That way you can have two matching beds in one room. Or for convenience sake, have a set to change to when doing the laundry.
Now for the shoe string budget. The Price is $95.US Free Shipping in Us and Canada.
